Hi, I'm Carmel — the person on the other side of the screen.

Registered psychotherapist who believes healing happens when we feel seen, safe, and connected.

I was born and raised in Vancouver and now live in Toronto. I come from a Jewish immigrant family — a formative part of my story that shapes how I show up in my work. My curious and empathetic nature led me to complete my Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto.

Since then, I've worked in hospitals, family service agencies, and private practice, supporting people through many different chapters of life. I have a particular interest in how both small and significant traumas impact our brains, nervous systems, and relationships. I believe we all have the capacity to look inward with compassion, making sense of our experiences and finding ways to heal and grow.

Outside of my practice, I love to play — whether that's at the gym, working on a new craft, spending time outdoors with loved ones, cycling around the city, or experimenting in my kitchen.

My Approach

My style is guided by empathy, curiosity, and a touch of humour. I believe people are the experts of their own lives, so sessions are always guided by your goals, at your pace.

My philosophy: evidence-based tools + genuine human connection = real change
